Backpacks + Bleeders: Eldorado Canyon State Park Hike
Join Backpacks + Bleeders for this scenic winter hike in Eldorado Canyon State Park! Trailblaze 1.4 miles (one way) up Rattlesnake Gulch to the ruins of the Crags Hotel that burned to in 1912. From there we will have the option to journey another .9 mile loop to loop that features a stunning view of Colorado’s continental divide. Throughout our adventures, we will test each other's knowledge on the 'Leave No Trace' principles and identify what that means to us in different scenarios.
Entrance to Eldorado Canyon State Park is included with your registration! The chapter will also provide water and snacks to trailblaze together.
NHF and national chapter face-to-face meetings and events (indoors and outdoors) will require that all attendees, including NHF staff and sponsors age 12 and older, show proof of being fully vaccinated or a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of attending the event. Additionally, for indoor events, all attendees must wear masks regardless of vaccination status. NHF strongly recommends that all attendees wear masks at outdoor events as well, but they are not required at this time.
