COVID-19 NATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

PAN Foundation COVID-19 Treatment and Prevention Fund

Available for Medicare beneficiaries diagnosed with COVID-19 or directed to self-quarantine and who also have cancer or a chronic and rare disease

Assistance includes:

  • Treatment expenses for COVID-19
  • Over-the-counter and prescription medications, including delivery services
  • Medical equipment and supplies
  • Transportation to medical appointments or pharmacies
  • Groceries and meals, including delivery services

Eligibility:

  • Must be diagnosed with COVID-19 or directed to self-quarantine by their healthcare provider or government agency
  • Must also have cancer or a chronic or rare disease
  • Must have Medicare
  • Income must fall at or below 400% FPL
  • Must reside and receive treatment in the United States or U.S. territories. (U.S. citizenship is not a requirement.)

PSI Emergency Assistance Fund

Financial assistance for:

  • Rent and mortgage
  • Phone bill
  • Utilities (electric, gas, etc.)
  • Emergency childcare

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently active PSI patient who meets income criteria and
  • Self or member of household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or suffered a job loss or reduction in workforce hours due to COVID-19.

The Assistance Fund (TAF) COVID-19 Health Insurance Assistance Program

Financial assistance for:

  • Applicants who have experienced a disruption in their health insurance coverage due to a COVID-19 related job loss are required to submit verification that they have lost insurance, purchased new insurance or are paying for a continuation of their previous insurance, and proof of economic hardship.

Eligibility:

  • Actively enrolled or have been enrolled in a TAF copay program in 2020; you must have filed a claim in 2020; and must not be currently enrolled in a TAF financial assistance program.
  • Legal resident of the United States or a US territory, and must fall within household-income and household-size financial guidelines based upon FPL
  • Insurance coverage must have been impacted by a COVID-19-related job loss
  • Must have secured or be in the process of securing replacement insurance (or must be paying directly for continuation of existing insurance).
  • Must submit a complete program application that includes the patient’s attestation

Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) COVID Care Recovery Fund

Financial assistance for:

  • Food/nutrition expenses, including food delivery and take-out/pick-up services for both restaurants and groceries
  • Utility bills, including phone, cable, and internet services, and water, sewer, electricity, gas, trash, propane refill expenses.
  • Rent or mortgage payments
  • Car payments and other transportation expenses
  • Temporary lodging, including for a caregiver
