As a leader in the bleeding disorders community, we offer programs and services to raise awareness and make a difference for people living with bleeding disorders and their families. The Chapter provides a wide range of educational and social programs to fit the needs of people in all life stages.

After a long year and a half of gathering together virtually, we are excited for the opportunity to begin to offer in-person events once again! Whether together in person or connecting online, we are happy to meet you at your comfort level. NHF Chapter Staff will continue to monitor and follow federal and local health guidelines.

Although there will not be a traditional Mile High Summer Camp this summer, we are excited to share a variety of activities to give both families and campers the opportunity to come together in person or virtually to experience familiar elements of camp in a safe and socially responsible way. Activities will include something for all ages and family sizes!

Virtual Family Campfire, Friday, July 16th. (registration closed 7/5)
A fun-filled evening of everyone’s favorite camp traditions, including songs, games, and other activities. An opportunity for all families across the state to gather and connect with one another. Families will receive a Camp Box prior to July 16th that will include all of the goodies and more! Connect with families across the state virtually before meeting them in person at Beach Day!

Beach Day! Saturday, July 24th at Bear Creek Lake (registration closed 7/22 12pm)
Enjoy an afternoon in the sun with your bleeding disorder community! Families will have the opportunity to gather and connect for a beach day! Gathering at the Skunk Hallow shelter at Bear Creek Lake families will have the opportunity to engage with one another through horseshoes, bags, and other family fun yard games. Specific activities will be planned for certain age groups, providing connection points for all. Throughout this day you will have the opportunity to gather and to learn a new skill and connect further with your peers. Campers will undergo a series of activities and challenges working as a team. There will be activities for all cabin groups! Including the Base Cabin (ages 7-11), Peak cabin (12-14), and the Leadership Group (15-17).

3-day Virtual Mile High Summer Camp, July 20-22nd (registration closed 7/16 1pm)
Partnering for a second year in a row, we are excited to bring campers of all ages together for this virtual experience! Last year over 40 campers joined us for a series of fun connecting, building, and growing with one another. This year you can expect all of the same fun AND MORE! Partnering together with the San Diego Chapter we are excited to bring camp Together in the Outback!

Together In The Outback, Saturday, August 7th (TEENS ONLY)
A Leadership event for teens ages 15-17 to build and grow their leadership skills. Unlock your next level by undergoing this series of activities and challenges to put your newly developed skills to the ultimate test. During this outdoor event, we will explore the great outdoors while connecting and building lifelong relationships.

Camp Reunion Tent at Unite Walk, Saturday, August 28th at Sloan’s Lake
The Unite Walk provides an awesome opportunity to connect before school starts for the year and you get busy. Just like camp, the Unite walk is one of those defining moments each year where we come together as one bleeding disorders community to celebrate, honor, and give hope to everyone impacted by bleeding disorders. Join your fellow campers in the Camp Reunion section and be the difference in your bleeding disorder community!

Overnight family camp opportunity, August 28-29th at Highlands Camp in Allenspark (registration closed 7/26 3pm)
Family Camp provides families affected by bleeding disorders an opportunity to bond with their families and peers.  Participants will have a chance to meet others in their home state that are experiencing some of the same health issues, helping them to develop a stronger support system and benefit from the emotional health of individuals within a family unit.

Activities may include team-building activities such as a ropes course, zip lines, archery, rock climbing, canoeing, and family free time.  Camp is planned and run by volunteers from the bleeding disorders community, with the exception of trained staff hired from the camp facility to run the outdoor ropes course, zip line, and archery course.

Family Camp is designed for all members and ages of your family members. This includes children younger than 7, young adults, and siblings.
