Where: UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus, Education 1 Building
What: Get out your pencils and paper and jump into annual Education Day on May 7, 2011 brought to you by UC Denver’s Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (HTC) and the Hemophilia Society of Colorado (HSC). Being part of the affected community often means learning new research and resources as well as connecting with other community members – supporting each other and finding support. This year is sure to be a fantastic program with a wonderful keynote speaker; HSC’s annual meeting with new Executive Director, Emily Davis; ten diverse education sessions; and even multiple languages – we will have at least one Spanish-speaking session in the morning and afternoon. Attendees will also have an opportunity for one-on-one time with sponsors and individuals from industry.

A children’s program will be offered and consists of activities for kids of all ages. There is even going to be a service-learning program for the middle and high school kids! If you are interested in learning more or want to volunteer during the children’s program, please contact Amy Board; we will have more detail soon.
Open House
Finally, HTC will be unveiling its new home during an open house at the end of the day where Dr. Hathaway will be honored. Dr. Hathaway has made an immeasurable difference in so many people’s lives including creating our treatment center. Sign up for your tour time now through our registration page, as we know these spots will fill up fast. There will be plenty of socializing and opportunity to share learning experiences as well.
