Board Development Committee

The Board Development Committee (BDC) consists of three (3) to five (5) members of the Board of Directors and any other persons appointed by the Chairman of the committee and approved by the Board. The Board Development Committee is responsible for reviewing membership expansion of the Board, where necessary, and preparing a suggested slate of Board members and Chapter officers for the ensuing year. The Board Development Committee also plays a critical role in coordinating strategic planning efforts, board in-service programs, board nominations and recruitment, and governance of the organization.

The Board Development Committee’s responsibility is to oversee the administration of board development efforts in coordination with the chapter executive director and the Advisory Board.  We are looking for individuals who are passionate about board governance and recruiting others with this skill set.
