The Advocacy Committee is responsible for a continuing program to advocate for issues in support of the NHF’s mission, through planned activities and services in the Chapter’s stated coverage area. The Advocacy Committee will work to create, sustain, and improve the quality of advocacy work at the local and national level for its members of the Colorado community. NHF Colorado is striving to develop stronger advocacy efforts to benefit affected members of the bleeding disorder community.
The Advocacy Committee is tasked with, but not limited to:
- Identifying and communicating calls for action that affect members of the local and national bleeding disorder community;
- Creating, organizing, and evaluating the annual Legislative Day in Colorado;
- Selecting representatives for the Colorado chapter at Washington Days;
The Advocacy Committee’s responsibility is to oversee the administration of advocacy efforts in coordination with the chapter’s executive director and the chapter Advisory Board. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about advocacy and engaging others from the community in these efforts. See more details in the attached committee description.
